Congress MLC, Jeevan Reddy, has expressed his opinion on the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He believes that it is not fair to provide financial assistance to those who already pay income tax or own large amounts of land. According to him, the money given under Rythu Bandhu should only go to eligible recipients.

To address this issue, the Congress government plans to make changes to the scheme. They aim to ensure that Rythu Bandhu benefits only go to those who cultivate the land. However, for now, the funds are being released as usual due to the ongoing cultivation activities.

Jeevan Reddy also mentioned that there is a proposal to limit the Rythu Bandhu scheme to farmers with up to 5 or 10 acres of land. This proposal has received positive feedback from both farmers and the general public. The government is also discussing the procedures for loan waivers and the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
