Noted folk singer Epuri Somanna, who is also a leader of YSRTP, is expected to join Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) soon. Somanna, known for his popular folk songs, met with BRS working President KT Rama Rao on Friday and expressed his desire to join the party. Rama Rao welcomed Somanna’s decision. This comes after the BRS party lost popular folk singer Sai Chand.
Sources indicate that Somanna will have a role in the party and will perform at party events. The meeting was attended by TRS Party Whip Balka Suman, MLC Deshapati Srinivas, and senior leaders Dasoju Sravan, among others.
