The Minister for Panchayat Raj, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, criticized the Central government for neglecting the Medaram Sammakka Saralamma carnival, which is one of the largest tribal fairs in the world. He mentioned that the BJP-led Central government provides funds for the Kumbh Mela but ignores the Medaram carnival. Errabelli also highlighted that the State Government is investing significant amounts of money to renovate and develop temples.

During the inauguration of a four-level endowments building in Rangampet, Errabelli praised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for reconstructing the Yadadri Temple and transforming Telangana into a spiritual state. He criticized the Centre for not recognizing the national status of the Medaram carnival. Several dignitaries, including Legislative Council chairman Banda Prakash and TS Planning Commission vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, were present at the event.
