Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, spoke at the Palakurthi Constituency Plenary in Jangaon district on Tuesday. He said that Telangana has made great progress in the last nine years under the leadership of K Chandrasekhar Rao. The Panchayat Raj Ministry, headed by Errabelli, won many national awards, which shows how much the rural areas have improved. The minister urged people to compare Telangana’s welfare and development programmes with other states in the country.
Errabelli criticized the BJP State president Bandi Sanjay for asking for Rs 20,000 compensation per acre to farmers who lost crops due to recent weather damage. The KCR government has already announced compensation of Rs 10,000 per acre. Errabelli said that Bandi Sanjay needs to show which BJP-ruled state provides such high compensation to farmers. If Bandi Sanjay cares about farmers affected by the weather, he should ask the Centre to provide an additional Rs 10,000 per acre to farmers.
Errabelli urged people not to be fooled by the saffron party, which is damaging the nation. He said that India needs Telangana’s development model instead of Gujarat’s. The BRS will continue with the slogan of “Abki Baar Kisan Sarkar” (This time it is the farmers’ government).
