Hyderabad: The Chairman of the Telangana Media Academy, Srinivas Reddy, announced on Monday that all eligible journalists will receive house sites as per government rules, regardless of which society they belong to. He made this statement during a program held by the Telangana Union of Working Journalists, where senior journalist K Ramulu was appointed as the State Deputy General Secretary.

Reddy explained that the recent handing over of land papers to the Jawaharlal Nehru Society was just the first step in the process of distributing house sites to journalists. He urged journalists not to have any doubts or misunderstandings about the process.

He mentioned that some journalists had expressed concerns because they were not part of any housing societies. However, Reddy reassured them that the government would accept applications from all working journalists, following the rules, regardless of their accreditation or society memberships.

Finally, Reddy credited the union for the progress made in allocating house sites to previous societies. He also mentioned that a meeting would be organized in the next two to three weeks to create a detailed plan for distributing the house sites.
