A 27-year-old woman named Rekha has died from severe burn injuries at a private hospital in Kacheguda. She was allegedly attacked by her husband at their home in Patel Nagar, Amberpet. This tragic incident has once again highlighted the serious issue of domestic violence in the community.

Rekha’s mother, Sangepu Padma, revealed that her daughter had suffered abuse for a long time. Her husband, Pidugu Naveen, was reportedly addicted to alcohol and often accused her of being unfaithful. Despite the family’s efforts to stop the abuse, it continued. Rekha had been married to Naveen since 2018, and they had two young children together.

On the night of March 9, Naveen allegedly came home drunk and started arguing with Rekha. He accused her of having an affair, and the fight quickly escalated. According to reports, Naveen poured petrol on her and set her on fire. Around 4 a.m. on March 10, he contacted Rekha’s mother to say that she had suffered severe burns and was being taken to Osmania Hospital.
