A tragic incident occurred in Kothagudem district on Wednesday. According to sources, a mother and her daughter were washed away in the Pamuleru river at Chaparalapalli village in Mulkalapalli Mandal.
The incident happened when Kunja Seethamma (45) and her daughter Kurshsam Jyothi, along with other villagers, were crossing the river on foot to reach their village. Unfortunately, during the crossing, the strong floodwaters swept away Kunja Seethamma and her daughter.
Fortunately, locals were able to rescue Kursham Jyothi, but her mother was carried away by the river due to the heavy overflow. The locals are currently searching for Seethamma.
