First-ever 3-day meeting for women police starts August 20

Hyderabad is set to host the first Telangana State Conference for Women in Police from August 20 to 22. The RBVRR Telangana Police Academy will organize this event, gathering 400 to 450 police officers from various ranks across the state. The purpose is to encourage open discussions among relevant participants.

Director General of Police Dr. Jitender mentioned that this conference will help women police officers work more effectively and allow them to express their concerns freely.

Officers from other sectors like Excise, Prisons, Forest, and Transport Departments will also attend. Senior officers and experts from other states, central police forces, and related organizations will join to share their best practices and promote learning together.

The main goal is to create a detailed Gender Policy Document. This document will guide efforts to improve the integration, empowerment, and well-being of women in the Telangana Police. It will also tackle issues such as designing uniforms suitable for different stages like pregnancy and maternity.
