    Five Panchayats in India have recently received national-level awards for their outstanding achievements in various areas of development. The awards were presented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, and were given to the Panchayats for their exemplary work in the fields of sanitation, health, education, women’s empowerment, and overall development.
