The Telangana Forest Department is trying to catch a leopard that got into Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The leopard has been running away from capture for two days. It entered the airport on Sunday and was seen on surveillance cameras. The airport officials told the forest department, which set up traps to catch the leopard. But so far, they have not been able to catch it.
To be more careful, the department decided to increase the number of cages from three to five. They will also install 15 more trap cameras in addition to the five already there. They made this decision after talking with RGIA officials on Tuesday.
On Monday night, the trap cameras did not capture any images of the leopard. Forest officers are watching closely and getting ready to catch the leopard. People living nearby have been told to be careful and report any leopard sightings to officials.
