The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Moinabad farmhouse drugs case presented three accused before the Rajendranagar court on Thursday after completing three days of police custody. The accused include former BRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy, his brother Ritesh Reddy, and Delhi-based businessman Namit Sharma. Following the court proceedings, all three were remanded back to Chanchalguda Jail until April 8.

During the hearing, the investigating officers requested an additional five days of police custody for the trio to continue their interrogation. The court has scheduled the next hearing for Monday to decide on the custody extension plea. The accused have been in custody since their arrest following the high-profile drugs bust at the farmhouse owned by Rohith Reddy.

Police investigations have revealed a wider network of drug suppliers allegedly connected to the accused. Sources indicate that a doctor from Jubilee Hills is among the key persons who allegedly supplied drugs to the accused. The interrogation has also identified several other individuals, including Abhishek Singh, Rakesh Varma, and Ather, who reportedly supplied narcotics to those involved in the case. Several of these identified persons are currently absconding.

According to sources close to the investigation, the Jubilee Hills doctor allegedly received MDMA from peddler Rakesh Varma. The same drug was reportedly consumed by Rohith Reddy, the doctor, and others during drug parties held at various locations. The SIT is working to establish the complete supply chain and identify all persons involved in the drug distribution network.

While one of the accused initially claimed in court that the drugs were sourced from Shimla, the interrogation revealed a different story. Police discovered that the narcotics were actually procured from local peddler Abhishek Singh, who works as an interior designer. Along with Singh, several other peddlers allegedly supplied drugs to various accused in this case. A missing complaint has been lodged with the Rajendranagar police station as Abhishek Singh remains at large.

The case came to light on March 14 when police raided the farmhouse belonging to Rohith Reddy and detained several people. Six individuals tested positive for drugs, including Eluru TDP MP Putta Mahesh Kumar. During the raid, Namit Sharma allegedly fired a round from a pistol at the police, though no injuries were reported from the incident.

The police registered a case against 11 persons following the raid and arrested three individuals. The others, including the MP, were granted bail by the court. The incident prompted the state Director General of Police to take serious action by forming a dedicated Special Investigation Team to thoroughly probe the case.

The state DGP constituted the SIT under the supervision of Future City Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu to investigate all aspects of the case. The team is working to trace all absconding accused and identify the complete network of drug suppliers and consumers involved in the case.
