The Telangana government has made an important decision regarding former Chief Minister KCR’s security. KCR, who previously had Z plus category security, will now have Y category security. Under Y category, he will have 4 plus 4 gunmen and a sentry near his house. A vehicle will also be provided for his convoy.
Former ministers who are now MLAs will receive 2 plus 2 security. However, security for former MLAs and corporation chairmen has been completely removed. Since the Congress government took over, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been conducting reviews on various issues.
One of the reviews included the security for celebrities. If any former celebrity requires security, the agency has the option to provide gunmen in their area. However, the final decision on providing gunmen will only be made after a thorough review.
