Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, G Kishan Reddy, spoke at a Healthy Baby show program in Hyderabad on Sunday. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to make India a healthy country. Reddy emphasized that mother’s milk is the best food for newborns and that healthy children will lead to a healthy India. He explained that mothers are the best doctors for their children and that the central government is implementing programs to provide nutritious food to children across the country. Reddy also noted that the government is working to eliminate social evils experienced by women and hosting awareness programs for parents of girls, such as the Beti Bacho Beti Padao program.
PM Modi asked for Healthy Baby show programs to be held in all Lok Sabha constituencies of the country. The program is for children between 3 and 13 months old and aims to highlight the importance of mother’s milk. As the chief guest at the event, Reddy distributed health kits and certificates to the children.
