As a Dalit leader and MLA from Vikarabad, Prasad Kumar emphasized that he would be the only Speaker from the SC community after Prathiba Bharathi in 1999-2004.
Despite concerns that holding the Speaker position could lead to subsequent election losses, Prasad Kumar pointed out that BRS triumphed in the recent polls, proving such beliefs to be baseless. He highlighted his own victory in the Vikarabad seat after losing twice before.
