Hyderabad is preparing for a grand Ganesh Utsav celebration, as announced by State BC Welfare and Transport Minister and District In-Charge, Ponnam Prabhakar. The event will take place from August 27 to September 6, 2025, in Hyderabad and the former Ranga Reddy district. This year, the festivities aim to be more vibrant and spiritually significant than ever before, enhancing the image of Telangana and Hyderabad.
A meeting was held at MCRHRDI on Tuesday to coordinate the preparations for Ganesh Utsav 2025. Minister Prabhakar led the meeting, urging organizers and residents to cooperate fully to ensure the festival runs smoothly.
The Minister emphasized the importance of public safety and convenience. He instructed the police to enforce strict measures for maintaining law and order and to manage traffic efficiently. He also advised officials to take precautions against electrical and fire hazards. The power department has been tasked with distributing pamphlets to guide organizers on preventing electrical accidents at the pandals.
Minister Prabhakar also mentioned ongoing road safety efforts, noting that repairs are being made to fix roads damaged by heavy rains. Additional funds have been allocated to restore these roads to their best condition. Furthermore, he encouraged the Endowments and Cultural Departments to launch awareness campaigns to highlight the festival’s significance, benefiting the community at large.
