    Gadwal: Gattu Mandal has achieved a significant milestone in rural development, ranking 5th nationwide and 2nd in Zone 3 in the NITI Aayog Delta Rankings. This ranking measures progress in different regions of India. The success is credited to joint efforts by the Bhavishya Bharat Foundation and the LTIMindtree Foundation through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

    Over recent years, LTIMindtree Foundation and Bhavishya Bharat have adopted 12 villages in Gattu Mandal. They have launched various programs to enhance living conditions and sustainability.

    Key initiatives involve:

    • Building check dams and reviving traditional tanks for better water conservation.
    • Encouraging animal husbandry and agriculture renewal.
    • Starting plastic-free village campaigns to raise environmental awareness.
    • Offering skill development training and scholarships for young people.
    • Setting up community service centers and resource hubs.
    • Providing mobile medical services for basic healthcare.
    • Renovating Anganwadi centers and building sanitation facilities.
    • Conducting eye check-ups for school children and giving nutritional support to pregnant and nursing women.
    • Supplying six-month food baskets to TB patients.
    • Offering organic farming training and exposure visits for farmers.
    • Creating drinking water troughs and cattle sheds for livestock care.
    • Organizing school cleanliness drives and installing solar-powered street lights.
    • Promoting self-employment through women’s self-help groups.
    • Establishing nurseries and fruit tree cultivation units.

    These initiatives have improved access to essential services and actively involved the local community in development efforts.
