Hyderabad: A German woman was reportedly sexually assaulted by a group of men on the outskirts of the city, in the Pahadishareef area. The exact date and time of the incident have not been confirmed yet. It is said to have happened when the woman went to visit a friend in Meerpet.
Sources say that the woman was near Manda Mallamma Garden in Champapet, Kanchanbagh, when a car driver offered her a lift. There were already several men inside the car. As the car reached a quiet road near Pahadishareef, the men allegedly misbehaved with her and sexually assaulted her.
The woman managed to escape from the attackers and went to the Meerpet police station to report the incident. The police registered a case and, since the incident took place in Pahadishareef, they transferred the case to the local police there for further investigation.
