Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has started a ground survey to collect property and ownership details in the city. This data will be compared with information from the Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping of properties. The survey began on Tuesday in areas like Uppal, Hayatnagar, Hyderanagar, Kukatpally, KPHB Colony, Miyapur, and Chandanagar.

In this survey, every property and utility in Greater Hyderabad will be mapped and geo-referenced. This will make property information transparent for everyone. The initiative aims to give citizens clear insights into their property tax obligations and make it easier for them to pay online.

According to GHMC, the initiative will help citizens understand their property tax responsibilities better and simplify the online payment process.
