    The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announced the results for the first and second years of Intermediate Public Examinations, March 2024 (IPE-2024). Girls performed better than boys for the second year in a row. The overall pass percentage for the second year was 64.19%, lower than the previous year. Girls had a pass percentage of 72.53%, while boys had a pass percentage of 56.1%.

    In the first-year intermediate course, girls also outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 68.35% compared to boys’ 51.5%. Despite a decrease in pass percentages from the previous year, girls continued to have higher pass percentages compared to boys since 2019, except for during COVID-19.

    District-wise, Rangareddy district had the highest pass percentage at 71.7%, followed by Medchal district at 71.58%, and Mulugu district at 70.01%. In the second-year results, Mulugu district had the highest pass rate at 82.95%, with Medchal district at 79.31%, and Rangareddy district at 77.63%.

    In terms of subject-wise performance, students in the MPC stream had the highest pass percentages in both the first and second years. BPC students followed in second place, MEC students in third, CEC students in fourth, and HEC students in fifth.
