Bhadrachalam is observing a steady flow in the Godavari River at 35.6 feet. Around 600,000 cusecs of water are coming in, with officials keeping a close watch on the situation. Currently, there is no immediate flood danger for nearby areas.
In Charla mandal, the Taliperu Reservoir has experienced a slight reduction in flood levels. Seven gates have been opened to let out 29,283 cusecs of water. The reservoir receives 30,009 cusecs, and the water level is at 72 meters, just below the full mark of 74 meters.
Authorities from the irrigation and revenue departments are on high alert, managing water release to keep people safe. Residents in low-lying areas are advised to stay vigilant.
Local officials assure that control measures are active, and emergency teams are ready if water levels rise suddenly.
