The Hyderabad City Police have busted an alleged fake medical clinic and arrested a 23-year-old man who posed as a qualified doctor without holding any medical degree. The accused, identified as Mohammed Adnan, was reportedly treating patients for serious health conditions including chest pain, breathing issues, kidney problems, and urinary tract infections using bottles of powders marked only with handwritten codes. The Task Force and Golconda Police jointly conducted a raid on the Hikma Sehat Care Centre, leading to the arrest and seizure of incriminating evidence.
During the raid, police seized dozens of unlabeled medicine bottles and packets from the premises. The medicines had no proper labels, batch numbers, or manufacturing details, raising serious concerns about patient safety. Authorities also recovered prescription books and social media promotion material that the accused allegedly used to advertise his illegal medical practice. The investigation revealed that Adnan had been operating the clinic for some time, attracting unsuspecting patients through online promotions.
Police officials stated that Adnan’s mother and brother were allegedly involved in running the fake clinic. Both are currently absconding, and efforts are underway to trace and apprehend them. The accused reportedly had no formal medical education or valid license to practice medicine, yet he confidently prescribed treatments for various ailments. The police are investigating how long the clinic had been operational and how many patients may have been affected by the fraudulent medical services.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the accused. The authorities have urged citizens to verify the credentials of medical practitioners before seeking treatment and to report any suspicious medical establishments. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the illegal operation and to locate the absconding family members of the accused.
