Gold and Silver Prices Drop Today in Major Cities of India: Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai – April 5th, 2023

Today’s gold and silver rates have been updated for Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai. As of April 5th, 2023, the gold rates in Delhi have been reduced, with 10 grams of 22-carat gold remaining at Rs. 55,460 and 10 grams of 24-carat gold at Rs. 60,490. Meanwhile, Chennai’s gold rates per 10 grams of 22 carats are at Rs. 56,010 and 24-carat gold is at Rs. 61,100. Similarly, Kolkata’s gold rate per 10 grams of 22 carats is at Rs. 55,300 and 24-carat gold is at Rs. 60,330. In Mumbai, the gold rates per 10 grams of 22 carats has been recorded at Rs. 56,300 and Rs. 60,330 per 10 grams of 24 carat.

The silver rates have been consistent across Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai at Rs. 74,600 per kilogram, while Chennai’s silver rate is at Rs. 77,800 per kilogram.

Bullion market experts suggest that various factors contribute to the fluctuation of gold rates in the market. These factors include changes in international market currency prices, inflation rates, gold reserves held by central banks, interest rates of these banks, the state of the jewellery market, geopolitical tensions, trade wars, and many others.

It is important to note that gold and silver rates continue to fluctuate every day and the rates mentioned here are due at 8 am. The Federal Reserves’ hint of a rise in interest rates has led to a decrease in gold rates recently.
