The Telangana State government has approved the construction of 4,696 houses for families displaced by the Midmanair Reservoir project. These homes will be built under the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme.

A total of 10,683 families were displaced because of the Midmanair project. The government provided house sites to these families in 12 different villages, including some smaller hamlets, as part of a rehabilitation and resettlement (R and R) package.

While 5,987 families were able to construct their own houses, 4,696 families still did not have homes. These families requested the government to allocate houses for them under the Indiramma Indlu scheme.
