The Telangana State Tourism Minister, V Srinivas Goud, announced that the government plans to open wellness centres at various reservoirs to promote tourism. The demand for these centres has increased due to the Covid pandemic. The Minister mentioned that while yoga is popular worldwide, it is not widely practiced in India. Therefore, the State government aims to boost this segment by opening wellness centres.

During the inauguration of the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) in Hyderabad, the Minister stated that every district in the State has historically significant places, and the Tourism department intends to develop several destinations.

Srinivas Goud emphasized the importance of suggestions and ideas from the public to increase both foreign and domestic tourists’ arrivals in Telangana. He mentioned that countries like Singapore and Malaysia heavily rely on tourism for employment and revenue. Telangana also has ample potential for expanding its tourism prospects.
