Hyderabad: The Telangana government has stopped all departments from buying computers, software, and web design services from private companies.
This decision comes after reports of overpayments during the previous BRS government. To avoid such issues in the future, the government has made it mandatory for all departments to make these purchases only through Telangana Technology Services (TGTS), a state-owned agency.
Jayesh Ranjan, the State Special Chief Secretary for IT and Industry, issued orders explaining the new rule. He said that departments must now send their requests to TGTS, which will then handle the purchase of the required IT equipment and services for government use.
