Nirmal: Governor Vishnu Dev donated Rs 15 lakh from his personal funds to support students at RGUKT. He handed over the cheque to Vice Chancellor Prof A. Govardhan at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The money will be used to set up an “Innovation and Incubation Centre” for students at RGUKT. This centre will help students come up with new business and industrial ideas, especially focused on opportunities in rural areas.
Governor Vishnu Dev praised RGUKT for its recent student welfare programs, development efforts, and future plans. He encouraged the Vice Chancellor to continue launching more such initiatives and to motivate students to think creatively.
To thank the Governor, Prof Govardhan presented him with a bouquet and honored him with a shawl during the meeting.
