Revenue officials in Moinabad have completed the process of handing over government land for the establishment of an integrated flowers, fruits, and vegetables market. The move has brought relief to farmers in the West Rangareddy region who have been awaiting a dedicated market facility. Tehsildar Gautam Kumar led the handover ceremony on Tuesday, transferring 39.07 acres of government land in Himayatnagar Revenue to Gudimalkapur Market Committee Secretary Prasad Rao.

The land allocation follows directives from Ranga Reddy District Collector C. Narayana Reddy, who instructed the Moinabad Tehsildar to identify suitable government lands for market establishment. The identified lands are located in Survey No. 176 in Aziznagar and Survey No. 151 in Himayatnagar. Local MLA Kale Yadayya had requested Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to set up the market facility in this area to benefit local farmers.

The government lands in Aziznagar and Himayatnagar revenue limits were previously under illegal occupation. These lands, situated adjacent to the outer ring road, hold significant value with each acre worth more than Rs. 50 crore. Valuable government properties in survey numbers 176, 177 in Aziznagar revenue and survey number 151 in Himayatnagar had been encroached upon by influential individuals.

Following government orders to reclaim these lands, Tehsildar Gautam Kumar worked extensively to restore the properties to government control. The process involved clearing encroachments and preparing the land for handover to market committee officials. An additional 20 acres of land has been identified and the handover process is already complete, bringing the total allocated area to nearly 60 acres.

The initiative gained momentum after media reports highlighted the encroachment issue and the need for an integrated market in Moinabad. CM Revanth Reddy’s special attention, combined with Chevella MLA Yadayya’s persistent requests and the supervision of Collector C. Narayana Reddy, ensured the smooth completion of the land transfer process. The government has decided to commence market construction work soon.

Farmers from the region are expressing satisfaction that an integrated market will be established at a convenient location. The market is expected to provide better facilities for selling flowers, fruits, and vegetables, benefiting agricultural communities across the West Rangareddy region. The facility will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister in the near future.
