The Centre has extended the deadline for linking Aadhar with ration cards to September 30. In Hyderabad, the State government is identifying beneficiaries for new ration cards through a screening process. The new cards will cover six Congress guarantees.

Authorities are verifying the eligibility of over 24 lakh families who applied during the ‘Praja Palana’ special drive. Around 5.5 lakh families have applied under GHMC limits, with officials ensuring only eligible families receive cards. In districts, Self Help Groups and outsourcing employees are verifying and identifying eligible families.
