Hyderabad: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and his wife, Sudha Dev Varma, took part in the Bathukamma celebrations held at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The event was attended by the Raj Bhavan staff as well.
Sudha Dev Varma carried the traditional Bathukamma to the main lawn in front of the house. She actively participated in the festival, which celebrates Telangana’s unique floral traditions. By joining the celebration, she honored the cultural heritage of the State.
Sudha Dev also shared her warm wishes with the women of Telangana, both in the State and around the world. To conclude the celebrations, she followed the festival’s customs by immersing the Bathukamma in a pond within the Raj Bhavan premises.
