Hyderabad: On August 3, 2025, Sphoorthy Engineering College in Nadergul celebrated its Graduation Day in the Chanakya Seminar Hall. Key figures at the event included Chairman Shri Chalama Reddy Surakanthi, Secretary Shri S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Guest Prof. K. Vijay Kumar Reddy from JNTU Hyderabad, Guest of Honour Sri K. Krishna Kisore from TCS, and Principal Dr. V.S. Giridhar Akula.
The ceremony welcomed 322 graduates and about 650 parents. A live broadcast allowed everyone to enjoy the event comfortably. The event began with a procession featuring notable attendees like Prof. K. Vijay Kumar Reddy, Shri S. Chalama Reddy, and other dignitaries, all accompanied by the college band. After a prayer and lighting ceremony, the Principal greeted all attendees and honored the guests with flowers and mementos.
Chairman Shri Chalama Reddy officially opened the graduation ceremony. He praised the graduates and highlighted the importance of continuous learning, attributing the college’s success to the hard work of teachers. He noted India’s rapid economic growth and emphasized the global achievements of Indians due to dedication and skills.
Shri S. Jagan Mohan Reddy delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging students to seek excellence beyond grades and focus on practical learning. Chief Guest Prof. K. Vijay Kumar Reddy shared life lessons, emphasizing teamwork and persistence as keys to success. He advised graduates to follow their passions rather than societal pressure and shared motivational insights like “Dream big” and “Knowledge is power.”
Guest of Honour Sri K. Krishna Kisore shared stories emphasizing the importance of values and skills for a prosperous life. Principal Dr. V.S. Giridhar Akula congratulated the students and urged an education system focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. He also mentioned India’s initiatives like incubation centers and hackathons for young engineers.
The graduates took a pledge before receiving their certificates and mementos. Department heads announced the names of top-ranking students, and dignitaries presented certificates. Notably, 81% of graduates secured positions in 41 reputed companies, with degrees conferred by Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
Heads of departments, including Dr. M. Ramesh, Dr. K. Ramesh Rao, Prof. P. Sandhya Rani, and others, were present. Parents expressed gratitude for the college’s role in their children’s professional development.
Chairman Shri Chalama Reddy closed the ceremony, followed by a vote of thanks from Dr. P. Gayathri Pavani. The event concluded with the national anthem and a photo session.
