Hundreds of people of all ages participated in the Hans Hyderabad Marathon organized by The Hans India at Necklace Roads. The marathon started at 5:40 am and was flagged off by The Hans India MD Hanumanth Rao. The police restricted vehicular traffic for the marathon by barricading one side of the road.
The Hyderabad Marathon was organized by The Hans India on World Suicide Prevention Day to raise awareness about the need to come together and promote preventive measures to reduce suicides. The runners followed a route that took them through Tank Bund, Cable bridge at Durgam Cheruvu, and ended at GMC Balayogi Stadium at Gachibowli. The fastest racers in the age groups of 12 years, 60+ years, and those with disabilities will be honored.
