Siddipet: Former minister and Siddipet MLA, Harish Rao, has issued a strong warning to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He stated that if the government doesn’t address the issue of loan waivers before the upcoming festival, they would organize a protest with farmers at the Secretariat. Harish Rao made this announcement during a protest held on Friday in Nanganur Mandal, Siddipet district. The protest was organized by the BRS party, demanding the immediate implementation of promises made by the Congress government, especially the loan waiver.
During his speech, Harish Rao criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of breaking promises. He said, “Revanth Reddy has turned from a leader into a fraud, neglecting all the promises made.” Harish Rao argued that the loan waivers provided by the government are insufficient and questioned why Revanth would resign over such a small issue.
Harish Rao also vowed to keep fighting until the loan waiver is fully implemented. He stated, “I will pursue you until the loan waiver is completed.” He even went as far as to say that he would resign from his MLA post if the waiver is done, emphasizing that he cares more about benefiting farmers than holding a political position. Harish also expressed concern that the value of farmers and their land has decreased since the Congress government came into power.
He questioned the whereabouts of the promised Rs. 2 lakh loan waiver and bonuses for crops. According to Harish Rao, the government is only offering bonuses for minor crops while ignoring the major ones. He also criticized the current government for failing to provide 24-hour electricity, something that was ensured during KCR’s leadership. Harish reminded the crowd that even during the pandemic, the Rythu Bandhu scheme was provided on time, and he challenged the government to meet the same standards now.
