Former minister and BRS party MLA Harish Rao visited a paddy procurement center in Pedda Kodur village of Siddipet assembly constituency. He spoke to farmers and encouraged them not to rush to sell their produce at a low price. He assured them that Rs 2,203 per quintal would be given as the support price.
During his visit, Harish Rao also spoke with officials from different departments including the Civil Supplies department and IKP. He urged them to start purchasing paddy immediately as farmers had been waiting for 15 days with their produce.
Harish Rao emphasized the importance of the government buying paddy at the support price to help farmers. He mentioned that during KCR’s tenure, farmers did not face such difficulties, but after the Congress government came to power, crops were drying up due to lack of electricity.
