T Harish Rao, a former Telangana minister and BRS MLA, faced questioning on Tuesday regarding an alleged phone tapping case tied to the 2023 Assembly elections. This interrogation took place at the Jubilee Hills police station.

Harish Rao met with the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is examining claims of illegal phone surveillance during the election period. The SIT is capturing his statement to further their investigation.

The questioning stems from testimonies given by Shravan Rao, a television channel’s Managing Director and an accused in the case, along with former Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) chief Prabhakar Rao.

Outside the police station, political tension ran high. Numerous BRS leaders and party supporters protested near the Jubilee Hills police station, showing support for Harish Rao. However, police allowed only Harish Rao inside the building.
