    Hyderabad: Due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases in neighboring states, the medical and health department has been instructed to stay vigilant and prepared. Health Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha has asked officials to take necessary steps.

    Officials have urged Ayyappa devotees traveling to Sabarimala to be extra cautious, especially in light of the new variant JN.1 of Covid-19 in Kerala on December 8. As the festive season approaches, everyone is advised to maintain hygiene and wear masks when necessary.

    Officials have been directed to implement public health measures and make necessary arrangements. The Minister has been informed that the state administration is fully prepared to handle Covid-19, with sufficient diagnostic test kits, medicines, and oxygen available for treatment.

    Citizens are advised not to worry but to take proper precautions, considering the increase in respiratory-related illnesses during winter.
