Hyderabad airport faced another security scare on Tuesday, November 18, when officials received a threatening email claiming explosives were planted at one of the terminals.
The warning message arrived at 10:00 AM, demanding immediate passenger evacuation from the facility. Airport security teams launched a comprehensive search operation across the premises.
After thorough investigations, authorities confirmed the threat was fake. No dangerous materials were discovered during the extensive security sweep.
This marks the second bomb hoax targeting the airport in recent days. Just four days earlier on November 14, another false alarm disrupted operations at the same facility.
The previous incident involved British Airways flight BA 277 traveling from London to Hyderabad. An email claimed a bomb was hidden aboard the aircraft.
Security personnel received that earlier alert at 5:00 AM, just 30 minutes before the plane’s scheduled landing at 5:30 AM. All 167 people on board evacuated safely once the aircraft touched down.
The passenger count included two infants, two pilots, and eight cabin crew members. Everyone exited the plane without incident during the emergency response.
Airport authorities continue monitoring security protocols following these repeated false threats. Enhanced screening procedures remain in place to ensure passenger safety.
