Hyderabad Anticipates Second Zero Shadow Phenomenon on Thursday

Hyderabad is excited to witness Zero Shadow Day for the second time in 2023. The city previously experienced this event on May 9 and will now experience it again on Thursday, August 3, around 12:22 pm.

Zero Shadow Day occurs twice a year in regions near the equator, specifically between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer. During this phenomenon, the sun aligns directly above the Earth’s equator, resulting in objects and living creatures casting no shadows at all.

To witness Zero Shadow Day, one must be in an open space where the sun is directly overhead. This means being in an area without any obstacles like tall buildings or trees that could cast a shadow.
