Hyderabad: Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi, who previously claimed to still be a member of the BRS party, attended a Congress legislature party meeting in Gachibowli on Sunday.
Earlier, Gandhi was appointed as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), which stirred controversy. The BRS party opposed his appointment, as they believed he had joined the Congress. However, Gandhi publicly stated that he remained with the BRS, creating political tension over the past few days.
On Sunday, Gandhi’s attendance at the Congress meeting reignited discussions. In response, BRS leader T Harish Rao questioned Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu on social media platform X. Harish Rao posted, “Legislative Affairs Minister sir, Arikepudi Gandhi has attended the meeting of CLP. At least now will you stop speaking on defections?”
