As more people embrace sustainable living, they are also looking for eco-friendly ways to celebrate festivals. A great example of this comes from Roots College of Hotel Management, Somajiguda, where a Ganesh idol was made entirely out of chocolate.
Chef Vandana and Chef Arjun, along with 20 students from the college, worked together to create this unique Ganesh idol using 20 kg of chocolate.
Chef Nikhil, the principal of the college, explained that after worshipping the chocolate Ganesh for three days, the idol will be immersed in milk. The resulting chocolate milk will then be distributed as prasad (a religious offering) to everyone.
