Hyderabad Flood Warning: Himayat Sagar Gates May Open, Low Areas Alerted

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) warns that the gates of Himayat Sagar might open soon due to rising water levels.

Residents in low-lying areas of Malakpet Circle—including Shankar Nagar, Padma Nagar, Veenayaka Veedhi, Chaderghat, and Moosa Nagar—should stay alert and be prepared to move to safer locations if necessary.

In Malakpet Circle, relief centres include City Model School, Padma Nagar Community Hall, Afzal Nagar Community Hall, and a mosque in Shankar Nagar.
