Hyderabad Government to Entrust School Uniform Stitching to Women Self-Help Groups

The Chief Secretary, Shanthi Kumari, announced that the State government will assign the task of sewing school uniforms for government and residential schools to Self Help Group women. She discussed this decision during a video conference with District Collectors.

Shanthi Kumari mentioned that all government schools in the state are functioning well, and the responsibility of providing basic facilities and sewing uniforms for students is being given to Amma Adarsh School Committees. These committees were established as part of the Mahila Shakti program to empower Self Help Groups.

To improve the quality of education, the Chief Secretary emphasized the need for infrastructure development in all government schools before the next academic year. She highlighted the importance of bringing about a positive change in schools to enhance students’ learning experience.

Each mandal now has an engineering department assigned to manage various projects. These departments will oversee the implementation of tasks to ensure that they are completed with high quality and within the specified timelines.
