    The US Department of Agriculture in India (USDA) has been showcasing American-grown food and beverage products through its ‘Taste of America’ campaign to the Indian market, which is becoming a growing market for US producers and agribusinesses.

    The Hyderabad Airport Metro project held a pre-bid meeting on Wednesday where potential bidders explained the importance and features of the project. The meeting was held following global tenders for selection of EPC contractors for the project. 13 national and global companies including L&T, Alstom, Siemens, Tata Projects, IRCON, RVNL, BEML, PANDROL Rahee technologies and others participated in the meeting.

    The laying of the foundation stone for the 2,000-bed ‘Dashabdi Block’ at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) was hailed as a historic occasion by Health Minister T Harish Rao. He expressed that the city is on track to become a hub for healthcare in the near future.

    A few MMTS trains have been cancelled until June 17 due to maintenance works at Secunderabad and Sanathnagar stations.

    RTA activists have alleged irregularities in pollution testing centres following an increase in fares for testing and issuing Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates for vehicles by the State government. They also noted a rise in the number of mobile pollution testing centres with the increasing number of vehicles in the city.
