Hyderabad to host StemCure’s stem cell manufacturing lab.

Stem cell therapy is a medical treatment that uses stem cells to help heal the body. Stem cells are special cells that can turn into any type of cell in the body. When injected into a damaged or sick area, stem cells can help repair the tissue and reduce inflammation. A company called StemCures from the United States is planning to open a lab in Telangana, India to make stem cell products for treating serious medical problems. They will invest $54 million and hire 150 employees to work in the lab.

The founder of StemCures, Dr. Sairam Atluri, met with Industries Minister KT Rama Rao to discuss the plan. Rao said that stem cell therapy is a promising new treatment and he is happy that StemCures will provide high-quality care to patients in India. Dr. Atluri is excited to expand his clinic to his hometown of Hyderabad and thanked Rao for his support.

Hyderabad is already home to over 1000 life sciences companies, including top pharma companies. Four of the top ten global innovator companies have centers in Hyderabad for research and development. These centers work on creating new treatments and devices to help people all around the world.
