The passenger demand from Hyderabad shows particularly strong numbers to major US destinations including JFK, ORD, IAD, DFW, IAH, ATL, AUS, CLT, and RDU. The robust travel figures reflect the city’s expanding base of both Visiting Friends and Relatives (VFR) segment and business travelers. The presence of major global corporations such as Amazon in Hyderabad, combined with the city’s rapidly growing Global Capability Centers (GCC) and technology ecosystem, has contributed significantly to the increasing passenger volumes.
Industry observers note that the VFR segment from Hyderabad represents more than just traditional leisure travel. As the city’s global corporate footprint continues to expand, premium and corporate travel demand is experiencing steady growth. West Coast markets, particularly San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA), are identified as having significant growth potential as technology sector travel and corporate connections strengthen between Hyderabad and these American business hubs.
The aviation data also indicates a need for enhanced connectivity from Hyderabad to international destinations beyond the United States. Additional capacity to London and other major European destinations for transit connections has been identified as necessary infrastructure development.
