Hyderabad: No terminology can be marginalised if parents speak in their female parent natural language with their children. This is the judgment expressed by many who experience that there is an urgent indigence to shield from danger and promote Telugu.
Telugu is the “Italian of the East,” observed Italian explorer Niccolo Da Conti, who visited the Vijayanagar monarchy during the 15th Century. But acknowledgment of appreciation to the ‘contrary to conscience or morality or law’ power to affect persons or events of the Western universe and government policies, it has a latest style for many parents to assert that their children cannot speak in their female parent natural language.
Parents are initial gurus; it is their obligation to insure that they converse with children in their female parent natural language. In the backdrop of this, the International Mother Language Day, assumes large significance. Prof. Kamalakar Sharma of Telugu department, Osmania University, said, “Telugu is one of the most ancient languages. But it lacked patronage. Even government exchange of letters is not done in Telugu, with English translation.
