Imran Khan Announces Post-Eid Protests and Accuses Gen Bajwa of Plotting to Maintain PML-N’s Power

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has announced that he will lead a peaceful protest movement after Eid to show support for the judiciary and protest against the government. He accused those in power of planning to attack Zaman Park and arrest people in order to scare them out of contesting the election. Khan also criticized police brutality and alleged that PTI leader Shahbaz Gill was tortured. He warned against attempts to “install corrupt politicians” in power and called for all parties seeking a return of democratic rule to support his struggle for democracy.
