Pawan Kalyan to assume charge on June 19 after meeting with Chandrababu Naidu at AP secretariat

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the State Secretariat on June 18, 2024 for the first time after the formation of the coalition Government.

Former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan called for nationwide protests after his release on bail following his arrest earlier this week. Khan’s supporters reacted to his detention by setting fire to government buildings and damaging military property. He has called for immediate elections and for his supporters to hold protests across the country. Khan, who was ousted from power last year, has waged a campaign of defiance against the military. At least nine people died in the unrest this week, with hundreds of police officers injured and more than 4,000 people detained.
