Incharge DM HO Initiates Sampoorn Abhiyan Programme

Gadwal: Dr. SK Siddappa, the acting District Medical and Health Officer (DM HO), spoke about the importance of the “Sampoorna Abhiyan” program at a recent meeting. This event took place at the district health department’s IDOC office. The program, which runs until the end of September, focuses on screening blood pressure and sugar levels for everyone over 30 years old. This is part of the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) program.

Dr. Siddappa addressed over 70 health workers, including staff from Ayushman Health MLHP, ANMs, and ASHA workers. He explained the goals of the program and emphasized the need for weekly screenings at all health centers. The target is to screen 43,750 people and record the data both offline and online.

The meeting also included several other health officials. These included NCD District Program Officer Dr. G. Raju, NITI Aayog Coordinator Aftal, District NCD Coordinator Shyamsunder, Makshud Madhusudan Reddy, DPM Madhavi, and DDM Kalyani. The collective efforts of sub-center ANMs, health assistants, MLHP staff, and ASHA workers are expected to greatly improve the district’s health screening results.

Dr. Siddappa highlighted the crucial role of health workers in making the Sampoorna Abhiyan program a success. He encouraged them to work hard to meet the screening targets.
