The police were deployed at Hyderabad Gun Park because Revanth Reddy, the TPCC chief, was expected to visit the area. The police set up barricades in preparation for his arrival. However, Revanth Reddy was taken into custody by the police when he reached the Gun Park.
Before this incident, Revanth Reddy had challenged CM KCR to campaign without distributing money and alcohol. He had also dared KCR to take an oath at the Martyrs’ statue. In response, Revanth Reddy planned to visit the Martyrs’ Stupa.
