WANAPARTHY: Public confidence in the police has greatly improved, said IG Ramesh, the State Police Housing Managing Director, during the opening of a new petrol station by the Wanaparthy Police Department. This event was held on Monday near Rajpet village and was attended by District Collector Adarsh Surabhi, local legislator Thudi Megha Reddy, and District SP Ravula Giridhar.
IG Ramesh stressed the need for high-quality standards at the petrol station. He credited the quick approval and collaboration of the District Collector and local legislators for making this project a reality in just four months.
Ramesh also talked about upcoming commercial growth in the area, mentioning plans for a bypass road and a new route from Madanapuram Railway to Wanaparthy. He believes these developments will attract new businesses and create jobs. Additionally, he noted a ₹47 crore export unit for the Fisheries Department, approved by the Central Government, which could further boost local growth.
Megha Reddy shared Ramesh’s views, highlighting the police’s dedication to community support and problem-solving. He believes the new petrol station signifies increasing public trust in the police and promises strict quality control.
District Collector Adarsh Surabhi emphasized the need for transparency in the petrol station’s operations, suggesting that better quality could lead to higher fuel consumption. District SP Ravula Giridhar praised the swift setup of the petrol station as a noteworthy development and asked IOCL officials to speed up the establishment of more stations through the Women’s Federation.
The event was attended by IOCL officials Sumitra and Sharanya, District Market Committee Chairman Srinivas Goud, and former MPP Kiccha Reddy, among others.
